Will You Vote – Goma for Senator?

Actor Richard Gomez will run for senator this May. Not for mayoralty or governatorial race. He is eyeing a seat in the senate. He wants to be a lawmaker.

Now who’s supporting him? Reports said he will be joining the administration’s unity ticket.
�
Are the entire showbiz industry behind his senatorial bid? Nope.
�
Some are supporting him like his good friends Joey Marquez and John Estrada and probably his wife’s circle of friends too. Some people who look up to him as their role model will surely vote him.
�
But count these two directors out. Leo Martinez and Jun Urbano recently held a press conference to voice out their opinion regarding plans of certain movie personalities to join politics.
�
Leo said these actors and actresses should help their industry first before branching out to politics.
�
Urbano for his part, said he is against those (actors or showbiz people) who are seeking a higher office. He said it’s okay to run for mayor or governor but not for senator.
�
He pointed out that as a senator, you have to make laws for the people.
�
In a text message to GMA 7 news, Richard reportedly replied to Leo’s comments negatively insinuating that Leo didn’t know what he’s talking about.
�
This Sunday, Richard will bid SFiles goodbye. He is now entering a new phase of his life. He is joining politics now.
�
Did he make the right decision? That’s for him to find out.
�
But what really matters is the voters’ decision. The voters cannot go wrong this time.
