This year’s Metro Manila Film Festival will feature nine entertaining movies to the delight of the movie-going public.
The movies to be shown include two horror films, “Matakot Ka Sa Karma” and “Shake, Rattle & Roll 8”; three fantasy movies, “Enteng Kabisote 3”, “Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah”, and “Super Noypi”; two light drama/love stories, “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” and “Mano Po 5”; and two action movies, “Tatlong Baraha” and “Ligalig”.
The much-awaited movie festival runs from December 25 to January 5, 2007 .
Kids will surely enjoy Vic Sotto’s antics in “Enteng Kabisote 3”. It’s actually a movie for the entire family just like “Super Noypi” which stars Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Katrina Ha lili , Sandara Park , and Polo Ravales.
“Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah” is also sure to be a big winner with Zsa Zsa Padilla and Rustom Padilla in the starring roles.
Filipinos just love horror movies. They’ll watch it even if it’s Christmas and not Halloween. Regal Films’ blockbuster “Shake, Rattle & Roll” will once again scare the viewers with Iza Calzado as a mysterious yaya in one of the episodes in the three-part movie.
Canary Films’ “Matakot Ka Sa Karma” is Gretchen Barreto’s comeback movie. This film is also a trilogy which also stars Rica Peralejo and Angelica Panganiban.
Fall in love this Christmas season with “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” starring real sweethearts Ryan Agoncillo and Judy Ann Santos.
“Mano Po 5” is also a good treat especially for the fans of Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez.
Cesar Montano’s Ligalig and Senator Lito Lapid’s “Tatlong Baraha” complete the impressive line up.
So save some money for your movie tickets this Christmas.
Since movie tickets have become too costly nowadays, it is quite impossible for us to watch all nine movies.
So choose two or three (whatever, it depends on your budget) movies and watch them with the whole family. (Have your dinner at home, if you have a limited budget.)
On a personal note, I want to tell you that we (me and my family) will be watching “Enteng Kabisote 3”. Why? Vic Sotto never fails to make my two daughters laugh. We were able to watch Vic’s entries in the filmfest in 2004 and 2005 (Enteng Kabisote 1 and 2) and they’re really worth watching. There’s no dull moment in the films I mentioned.
And it’s actually a very nice Christmas treat for my two kids. They cannot wait to see the film.
This Christmas, relax and enjoy…see a movie.
