One of the purposes of the mission was to coduct exterior work replacing the ammonia tank that has been exhausted already. This is used as a cooling system for the space station.
Another purpose was to do some cabling to prepare the station for another module’s arrival. It’s a new room called Cupola with a large window. This space will be for the astronauts to control robotic operations in the future from the outside part of the ISS.
