I am a certified TV fanatic. I go for television shows from GMA 7, ABS CBN, and
ABC 5.
Lately, I am very much glued to Philippine Idol especially every Sunday and Monday night.
It’s the finalists’ performance night on Sunday, and the results’ night on Monday.
I’ve seen how the top 12 finalists transformed into excellent performers. I think the music industry will be very happy to welcome them all.
On December 9, the first Philippine Idol will be named. It will be a spectacular show at the Big Dome (Araneta Coliseum). Although I am very excited about it, I also feel sad now that the Philippine Idol’s first season will come to an end.
It’s good that I grabbed a copy of the “Philippine Idol – The Final 12” compact disc.
I get to listen to the best renditions of the 12 finalists anytime I want.
I like Drae Ybanez’s “Hang on” and Stef Lazaro’s “Pangako”. I wonder why they were the first to go, given their flawless singing voice and style. It’s my personal opinion, of course.
Pow Chavez’s “Nakapagtataka” and Gian Magdangal’s “Himala” are also superb. Their own rendition can very well compete with the original.
Reymond Sajor’s “Hindi Magbabago” is as good as Randy Santiago’s original version.
Mau Marcelo gave a different touch to Ariel Rivera’s original “Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin”. It’s very soothing to the ears.
Jan Nieto’s “Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka” would surely make every girl swoon over him.
The other songs are equally good, Apple Chiu’s “Ngayon”, Jeli Mateo’s “Iisa Pa Lamang”, Armarie Cruz’s “Araw Araw, Gabi Gabi”, Ken Dingle’s “Di Na Natuto”, and Miguel Mendoza’s “Next in Line”.
The best song for me is the final 12’s interpretation of “Kaleidoscope World”. I appreciate Francis M’s original masterpiece more when the finalists sang it.
I bought the CD for only P305. So get a copy now. It’s definitely worth every centavo you spend.
And please… don’t buy pirated copies.
