This news story did not really come as a shock. Ruffa Gutierrez and husband Yilmaz Bektas are seeking annulment of their four-year marriage citing cultural differences.
Â
As of press time, Ruffa has yet to explain what she meant by that. She also stressed in her interview with Ricky Lo that they really love each other and that their separation is painful to both of them.
Â
No third party involved, she also said.
Â
The couple has two lovely daughters, Lorin who’s turning 4 and Venice who’s just a year younger.
Â
It has been observed that Ruffa is often here in the Philippines than with her husband in Turkey. She has accepted a lot of offers and has become so visible in television these past months. Right now, she’s even hosting “The Buzz” as a temporary replacement for Kris Aquino who is on maternity leave.
Â
In almost all of her past interviews, she appeared to be a lady in love with her husband and contented with her married life. She often mentioned Yilmaz’s name lovingly. But still, Ruffa has spent more time here in the country than with her husband that’s why people started to speculate that their marriage may be on the rocks.
Â
Now it is confirmed.
Â
What a sad story to end their fairytale-like relationship.

well if the problem is there culture whats the big deal’ one of them have to sacrifice there culture or religion to save there married if that is there problem…. or it is “third party” we dont know ;(
Why has Philippine media portrayed Yilmas as a saintly businessman while Turkish newspapers online call him the son of an international drugs smuggler? Don’t tell me our sources are third world as well?

UYUŞTURUCU KAÇAKÇISININ OĞLU FİLİPİNLERİN ÜNLÜ AKTRİSTİYLE EVLENDİ
The headline says Son of International Drug Smuggler Separates with Filipina Actress.
If you search on Yilmaz’s name in Turkish a lot of articles pertaining to drugs crop up. Persisting false accusations? You think they (those publishers) can’t be sued for libel if it wasn’t true? That is defamation of character isn’t it?
May cover up din ba sa entertainment news?
Miss Ruffa, even if you and Yilmaz parted ways….. I know you can make it on your own as long as you are here in the Philippines and with your family and friends…I know you are strong and I’ll pray that you can find your happiness soon….kaya mo yan girl…..
