Ruben hailed as Big Winner

After spending 84 days inside Big Brother’s house, the Komedyanteng Promdi Ruben Gonzaga, a comedian from Davao City, was finally declared the Big Winner in Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2. Ruben garnered a total of 506,402 text votes, which is 32.17 percent of the total votes.

Ruben was followed by Miss Earth-Canada Riza Santos, the Second Big Placer with a total of 430,135 text votes or 27.33 percent. Gaby dela Merced came in Third Big Placer with 406,892 text votes, or 25.5 percent, while hunk Will Devaughn was Fourth Big Placer with 230,509 text votes, or 14.65 percent.

The Fourth Big Placer, Will Devaughn, received Php 400,000; the Third Big Placer, Gaby dela Merced, was given Php 600,000; while the Second Big Placer, Riza Santos, got Php 1,000,000. However, Gaby dela Merced went outside the house for two weeks to attend a racing seminar in the US, which is why she only received Php 150,000.

The Big Winner, Ruben Gonzaga, received a Sony Bravia, a Goodah business franchise package, a condominium unit at Chateau Valenzuela, and Php 2,000,000. Ruben is the first male big winner of Pinoy Big Brother, after Nene Tamayo, Keanna Reeves, Kim Chiu, and Beatriz Saw.
