President Obama Speech September 9, 2009 – Health Care Speech

President Obama has delivered his much awaited Health Care speech today to the Congress. One of his final efforts to rally for support for his healthcare reforms. He goes on to say that 30 Mil Americans are without coverage. American’s spend 1.5 times more than any other country and yet they still have worse coverage.

The health care issue is one of the most sensitive issues tackled by President Obama. One of the primary things people need aside from food, shelter, clothing is healthcare.

Some of the more important points raised were

1. One cannot be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition
2. Tax credits will be provided for people who do not have insurance
3. All insurance companies will be required to cover the basics of preventive care.
