Tonight will be the pilot episode of Angel Locsin’s new telenovela which is the Pinoy version of the popular Koreanovela “Only You”.
Only You – Plot
Despite her mother’s protests, Jillian (Angel Locsin) pursues her dream of becoming a chef by joining a cooking contest where she gets a chance to study culinary arts in different Asian countries. Before anyone can stop her, she is already on her way to Korea together with her long-time best friend, Jonathan (Diether Ocampo). But it soon becomes clear to her that skill alone is not enough to make her pass such a difficult course. So in her desperate attempt to succeed and create a good life for her family, she goes in search for a woman who can teach her a winning recipe.
Then she crosses paths with TJ (Sam Milby), an arrogant but wealthy businessman who is looking for his mother, the same woman Jillian is after. They hardly get along yet they eventually end up having a one-night stand as Jillian momentarily makes him forget about his worries about his mom’s second marriage. They go their separate ways the next morning after a mis
understanding and it’s only later on that Jillian finds out that she’s pregnant, which means that she can’t continue her studies anymore. Then a twist of fate brings them together again in the Philippines six years after that fateful encounter abroad.

Hi. I used to watch the original “Only You” before. Even I was so busy at work, I would really make sure na makauwi ako ng maaga to watch the series. Now that it’s back via Philippine talents like Angel Locsin, Diether Ocampo and Sam Milby, I am so excited again to watch the same series which I used to love.
Maganda sya actually but just this evening, I watched the episode when Jillian was cooking the “chicken adobo”, I was so dismay… ngeeee… why did ABS-CBN ruin the concept of this culinary show by endorsing MAGGI MAGIC SARAP (again!!?). OKay lang mag advertise dun sa Betty La Fea anyways, wala naman kakwenta-kwentang series yun eh (sorry for these words – I liked John Lloyd and Bea naman eh as a love team but not the series! I mean the story is not worth watching.) The original “Only You” showed the essence of being a chef by using herbs and spicies and natural ingredients not “MAGGI MAGIC SARAP”! Ano ba yan ABS-CBN! Mahiya naman kayo! Dami nanonood na professionals nito tapos puro pera lang talaga inisip nyo by endorsing that product! (Magkano kaya binayad ng Maggi sa show? Just thinking…)What I really liked of the original series was kung papaano maging mahusay na chef and ofcourse paano naakit ni Jillian si TJ (his father as well) through her food preparations. Basta, maganda concept nun unlike now na nag aadvertise pa!
