Michael Jackson’s Death Overloaded Google

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) the king of Search Engine  was overloaded with the searches about the King of Pop’s death.  Google apparently has this feature that blocks further searches when it detects multiple searches from a computer in a very short span of time.   This filter was used to prevent “bots”, and spyware softwares from doing automated queries to google.

Many frustrated google users got an error message instead of news and information about Michale Jackson’s death.   They got message such as …
“We’re sorry … but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application”

I’ve made a research using google hot trends on how many people are searching for Michael Jackson and related news.   Out of the 100 keywords in google hot trends, about 40+ are related to the news about Michael Jackson’s death.
