Mark Sanford Argentina Girlfriend “Maria”

South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford admitted during a press conference that he had flown to Argentina to secretly visit a woman she had an affair with. (see video below).

She apologized to his wife and four sons during the same speech and mentioned that he will resign as head of the Republican Governor’s Association.

“I have been unfaithful to my wife. I developed a relationship with what started out as a dear, dear friend from Argentina.I’m a bottom line kind of guy I’m just gonna lay it out. It’s gonna hurt and I’m going to let the chips fall where they may.”

Mark Sanford was believed to be a potential presidential candidate in 2012. I guess this whole “Mark Sanford Scandal” would affect this possibility.

Mark and Jenny Sanford are now on a trial separation. “This trial separation was agreed to with the goal of ultimately strengthening our marriage.”

Jenny Sanford has issued a statement.
