Good news to all Marian Rivera fans! Your idol’s hard work has finally paid off. GMA 7, the Kapuso network has chosen the beautiful actress to play the much coveted lead role in the new teleserye “Marimar.”
“Marimar” is actually a Mexican telenovela shown in the mid 90s (1995-1996?) which made singer-actress Thalia very popular. It showcased Thalia’s singing and dancing prowess.
A lot of talented young actresses auditioned for the title role which was first offered to Angel Locsin. Angel turned down the offer to take a six-month break from showbusiness to study fashion design abroad.
Besides, Angel was very honest to admit that she cannot really sing and dance like what Thalia did in the original Marimar.
But can Marian do it? Definitely! Marian is an exceptional dancer as proven by her special dance numbers at SOP and Eat Bulaga. She can also sing.
We really hope this new project for Marian will make her one of the most sought after young actresses today which she certainly deserves.
She has proven her acting talent by playing challenging roles on screen. More than that, she owns one of the prettiest faces in showbiz today.

Si Marian ? mas okay pa daw kay Thalia? Nyek! di naman noh! Wag i exaggerate! Pls lang wag icompare kay Thalia, wla sa kalingkingan yan noh! Maganda si Marian pero parang tying hard! Ska pagnagsalita na siya, nakakaturn off kasi parang lalake boses. saka in fairness ke Thalia, singer yun! Marimar is a Pefect figure for a gorgeous lady, si Marian wala talent, saka nakakasawa beauty. dapat si Angel talaga gumanap, wala na bang mapagpilian???? Wla na nga kasi inayawan na ni Angel yung teleserye, kaya tira tira nalng to, at wala na mapili! mukang bakla ang kinuha! hay, iba parin talaga ang dos, may taste!

!!!!!!ok lang naman na si marian ang marimar ng bagong show ng GMA na marimar….maganda rin naman si marian at bagay din sa kanya ang rule bilang si thalia…deserving din naman siyang tawaging arimar kasi may dating…pero mas maganda sana kung si angel locsin kasi mas sexytska magaling ng umarte….sayang lang sau angel kasi d mu tinanggap ang rule bilang marimar kaya c marian nalang sya na ang bagong big star ng GMA…..congrats marian!!!!!

Hey pipz! dnt judge nman. Yup, Marian can handle d role, she’s excellent really. But with Angel’s tranfer issue, lets just respect her decision…total nman sa Kapamilya came from and now shes back. And really shes tryin to show that she’s not only for acting but for all type. Infact, she greatly improved…she’s now hosting, dancing, singing, and of course acting. Im happy for her, she now find her happiness. Gudluck to the both of the AKTRES!
Si Marian walang talent? gosh as far as I know Marian can dance well and sing as well and she is educated, she can even speak Spanish. If Marian got no Talent ano nalang kaya si dark Angel hindi ata nagbabasa ng article etong si almira anyway if you read the article inayawan sya ni Dark Angel dahil walang talent si Angel sa pagsasayaw at pagkanta. Si Marian bagay sa kanya ang role ikaw ata yung mukhang bakla dyan eh. Yung idolo mong Dark Angel nagiging chubby na at nakita ko yan dati ng hindi pa sikat hindi sya kagandahan gumanda lang ng sumikat.

gud lak marian! dahil sayu tinatawag na akong marimar ngayun, hikhik…
serious na..sa totoo lang, ang tatay ko po hindi mahilig sa teleserye, even his friends silang mga businessmen hindi talaga mhilig manood. But, noong umere na si marian, ayun, lagi na nilang inilaan ang time nila to watch the said soap opera…gosh! mga lalaki sila, and marurunong tumingin sa isang magandang tulad ni marian..i hope mag meet kami someday ni marian at magkuentuhan kasi psychology rin ang major ko…Gud lak marian!!!
Sa mga nagsasabing walang utang na loob si angel,dapat irespeto nyo ang decision ni angel,inamin niyang di sya marunong kumanta at sumayaw ibig sabihin ay di sya ipokrita at trying hard,she’s a kind of person na honest!.. Kahit saan mo syang network dalhin sisikat parin sya,kung pag uusapan naman ang kagandahan ay di patatalo si Angel,nakita ko na rin sya.. THe best talaga si Angel!
