Manila Floods 2009 – Ondoy Typhoon (ketsana)

Manila Floods 2009 – Typhoon Ondoy ravaged through Metro Manila leaving nothing but tons and tons of devastation. Worst hit are the areas and town of Rizal province such as Antipolo, Cainta. Marikina an Pasig are also hit. This is even worse than typhoon Milenyo. Milenyo’s damages were small compared to Ondoy. According to reports, the amount of rain yesterday Sept 26, 2009 was about 1 months worth of rain. So just imagine the huge influx of water that has to pass over our rivers.

Van in Katipunan.

A van was parked on the street beside a building construction area. As you know, when erecting a building, a deep foundation needs to be excavated. The van soon was swept inside the construction area and started to sink to the bottom.

I hope the owner of the van has a flood and “acts of God” clause in their car insurance, otherwise, it’s goodbye.
