In the 2009 Major League baseball, the Nationals pick Stephen Strasburg. One of the most talented prospects in a very long time, Stephen is an awesome power pitcher with a super fastball that was clocked at 103mph. He was born July 20, 1988 in San Diego California.
Standing at 6′4″, Stephen pitched for the San Diego Aztecs and as of May 31, 2009, Strasburg is 13–1 with a 1.32 ERA, 65 hits allowed, 16 earned runs, 19 walks and 195 strikeouts in 109 innings pitched.
I think Stephen is really the best in this years draft.
No word yet on the final offer for his contract but it is believed to exceed the $10.5 million Mark Prior received after he was drafted back in 2001.
