Lakers Parade Time and Route

Media executives and other people donate money for the Lakers Parade. This was their response for the protestors who are opposing the use of public funds for the parade. I can’t blame the guys for opposing the use of public funds, because in tough times such as this recession, every penny counts. Luckily, according to yahoo sports, some of the city’s wealthiest individuals gave about $850,000 for the parade.

Lakers Parade Route: Staples center, walk along Figueroa Street ending in the Coliseum

Coliseum open time: 9:30am

Thanks to these generous people, people in LA can enjoy the celebration of their team’s 15th NBA title. Even the Lakers and AEG are also donating $1M for production costs. Now that’s great!

The private donors were Casey and Laura Wasserman, Jerry and Margie Perenchio, Haim and Cheryl Saban, Eli and Edythe Broad, Joe and Sharon Hernandez, Ed and Gayle Roski, and San Manual Band of Mission Indians in Highland California.
