Karen Sypher, accused Rick Pitino (Louiseville University head basketball coach) of raping her back in 2003. A video/audio recording now popularly knows as “Karen Sypher Tapes” has been released to the public. Part of it is now in youtube. You can watch the video below.

The release of these videos made coach Rick Pitino very furious and thus he immediately called a press conference. Watch Rick Pitino Press conference below.

Earlier reports stated that Rick admitted to having sex with Karen and at one point in time, Karen told Pitino that she was pregnant and asked for $3,000 for abortion. Anti abortion groups got into the picture and wanted Pitino out of the university. However Pitino’s lawyers cleared it up saying that the money was not for abortion but for health care.

Police are now refusing to place any charges against Pitino and prosecutor David Stengel called Sypher’s allegations as “void of credibility“. She will be facing charges of extortion from Pitino and lying to the FBI.
