Hayley Okines is a young girl who suffers from Progeria an extremely rare genetic condition. Hutchinson Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS) is a condition where the ageing process is 8 times faster. So this means a 10 year old child with Progeria will appear like an 80 year old. The average lifespan of a child with this condition is 13 years old.

There are internet rumors going around today (July 23, 2009) that Hayley Okines died but no confirmations yet as to the validity of this report.
