After Angel Locsin’s successful stint as GMA’s Darna, next in line to fill in the red suit is Marian Rivera. Darna’s leading man, Efren will be played by Mark Anthony Fernandez, while Darna’s arch enemy Valentina will be played by Starstruck 2 finalist Iwa Moto.
Other GMA stars that would play a role in the Mars Ravelo creation would be Nadine Samonte, Isabel Oli, and Ehra Madrigal.
Rita Avila at Jestoni Alarcon will be Narda’s parents while Janice de Belen, and Paolo Contis will play the role of Valentina’s parents.
The little boy Ding will be played by Buboy Villar.
Also included are Alfred Vargas, Angel Aquino, Bearwin Meily, Margaret Wilson, Caridad Sanchez, Gabby Eigenmann, at Roxanne Barcelo.
Darna will be directed by Dominic Zapata and Don Michael Perez.

The image is photoshopped but it’s ok. Anyway, it makes sense that Marian has been touted to play the role since she fits the look that Vilma did for the character. Angel Locsin’s is more of a Nanette Medved. Anjanette Abayari, however, seems so alien-like. http://artvoyeurph.blogspot.com/
