How to Adopt an Ugly Duckling in Farmville

My wife adopted a rare Ugly ducklink in Farmville (a facebook game). I asked her how she got it and according to her it goes like this. A friend of hers saw a pop-up of a lost duckling with a question of whether she wanted to help or not. Then upon clicking help, a message is broadcasted to her friends so my wife saw a notice in his wall if she wanted to adopt the ugly duckling. Then she just clicked yes.

So I guess it would be best to keep your eyes open for a notice in your wall posts for it. But you have to be quick as the first one to adopt it, gets it.

I just went to my own homepage today and I saw this

So I immediately clicked the “Adopt the Duckling”. Fortunately nobody had clicked it yet before me so I am now a proud owner of a Farmville ugly duckling. (Although I’m into Farmtown as of the moment and not into farmville yet but then again, I might decide to play farmville soon).
