Fans stopped their Darna role for Jennylyn petition

In the outcome of Jennylyn Mercado’s pregnancy, fans of her stopped their petition to give their idol the role of Darna.

Just days before she got pregnant, her fans were very active in supporting Jennylyn and made noise in different websites to grant their petition. Angel Locsin first played Darna for GMA-7. Now that she’s out of the Kapuso network, the Darna role is open again for all eligible young female stars of the network.

The reason of the fans before, Jennylyn is the next logical choice to portray Darna because she is the first homegrown star of GMA-7.

Jennylyn once auditioned for the role, but she backed out.

Yesterday, January 03, all the petitions were stopped after Jennylyn finally confirmed that she’s pregnant. It is impossible to give the role to her because Captain Barbell Meets Darna will air this year.
