Ely of Eheads Rushed To The Hospital In the Middle of Eraserheads Reunion Concert

For the most of the ’90s teens out there, the Eraserheads Reunion Concert has been the talk of the town for more than a month. And last night was the main event.

Critics say that this will be the most anticipated and sought after musical event of the year. The concert will be headed of course by the former schoolmates at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro who formed the band in 1989.

The concert started with no front act but rather, opened the event with the band’s Alapaap finished with fireworks.

There are a total of 60,000 audience who witnessed the band finished songs like “Ligaya,” “Sembreak,” “Hey Jay,” “Harana,” “Fruitcake,” “Toyang,” “Kailan,” “Shake Your Head,” “Torpedo,” “With A Smile,” “Huwag Mo Nang Itanong,” however, the concert which started at 8:30 PM of August 30 but was cut short for a 20 minute break at around 9:30.

Lally, Elly’s sister said, Lally became the bearer of news: “Thank you for supporting the reunion concert of Eraserheads. We, however, regret to inform you that due to my brother’s poor health, the emotional and physical stress that he’s been experiencing, we apologize for cutting the concert short. My brother Ely had to be rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Again, we apologize and thank you all for coming here tonight.”

According to the report, Elly was rushed to the hospital. He has been feeling tired and this overfatigue was also due to the fact that last August 29, the singer’s mother, Mrs. Lisette Buendia, just recently died of a heart attack.

Up to this time, there were no confirmations whether or not there will be a round two of the reunion.
