Like the popular tandem of mangga’t bagoong, tokwa’t baboy, kape at gatas, lunch time from Mondays to Saturdays wouldn’t be complete without Eat Bulaga on your TV screens.
Of course I am referring to the millions of Filipinos who stood by the longest running noontime show for 28 years. And I am certainly one of them. And I have passed on this habit of mine to my kids.
What does this show have that other shows may be lacking? And how did it manage to last for 28 long years (and still counting)?
I think the friendship of the three, Tito, Vic and Joey plays a major role in Eat Bulaga’s success. Their loyalty to each other and to Eat Bulaga management is contagious that other EB stars are following their examples.
Through thick and thin, rain or shine, the three together with the entire EB cast and crew stood by each other.
Some talents come and go. It’s one of life’s reality. But who couldn’t forget the show’s “homegrown” talents like Aiza Seguerra and the Sexbomb Dancers? The show also gave the likes of Allan K, Gladys Guevarra, Teri Onor, Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola the chance to shine.
Vic Sotto never fails to make the audience laugh. He’s already a big star and yet he never rests on his laurels. He always gives his best every time he hosts for the show. Same thing with Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon.
Watching Eat Bulaga is just like spending time with your family members or barkada. You’d always feel that you’re one of them. The show doesn’t need beautiful and sexy ladies to join them as hosts ( although Pia, Pauleen, and Cindy are all very pretty). It doesn’t need to make fun of their contestants or brag too much about being charitable to increase the show’s ratings. (My opinion, of course)
What matters more to their audience is the show’s heartfelt intention to make people happy in any way they can.

-may mga balikbayan na rin na may hawak na cartolina
-ini-interview rin ang mga kasama ng players sa studio
Aba, sa anong show kaya ito lahat ginaya.. sa WOWOWEE syempre.
Alam niyo ang Eat bulaga ay ginaya sa school canteen,dahil nuong nakikita na ng GMA 7 na malakas ang hatak nito sa mga tao at ginaya nila ito.At duon nabuo ang eat bulaga, na binigyan ng title ni joey de leon.Kaya wala kayong karapatan na sabihin na walang originality ang wowowee,dahil hindi ninyo alam ang pinanggalingan ng noon time shows,WAG KAYO MAG MAGALING!!!!nangagaya din ang eat bulaga,yung Boom tarat tarat tinapatan nila ng Itaktak mo!!!MGA HANGGANG SALITA LANG KAYO,wag kayong matuwa dahil Metro manila lang naman ang naisurvey sa mga ratings wala pa duon ang buong PILIPINAS!!!

hay nku! wlang kwenta ang WOWOWEEE…. napaka-CORNY!!!!!!!!!!! kahit ano pang sabihin nyo, accept the fact na walang tatalo sa EAT BULAGA! sa mga rural areas kasi walang channel 7 kaya no choice ang tao kundi sa channel 2 manood.

Where is the sincerity in
Willie’s face?… Where are the tears?… Should he really need to shout it out that he asked for forgiveness to those who died in the stampede?… Did ABS ask him to do that on his show?…to cover up for the scam?… Am an avid fan of Wowowee but when i saw the footage of the said scam… gosh! they’re filipino indeed. Sad but true!!! Joey was right “explain first before they complain”….

You know we should be happy that this people entertain us it happen it happened.We all make mistake.I’m not an avid fan of both shows. If Willie say sorry why can’t give him the second chance. Joey De Leon need to understand that we are all human being that can make mistake.It doesn’t matter how long the show that make the host competent but what you can give to people is good to make everybody happy.The only advise I give to Willie Revillime & Joey De Leon stop this nonsense people look up to you , love and learn from you.You should be a good example for them tama na ang mga pasaring at patutsada sa TV show because your all acting stupid and childish.Act profesionally. Thank you hope you read this. We all proud of you but don’t lose our trust. Be cool.

I find Wowowee so insulting. Why? In the show Willie interviews every contestant, with the poor fella discussing on national (probably international) TV the hardship and struggle he/she is experiencing, oftentimes with matching tears and soft background music, you can really feel the plight of these people. But here’s the rub, after this litany, Willie, ever the conscientious type, then shouts something at the top of his raspy voice (as he always does) and HUMILIATES the contestant by making him/her make fool of himself/herself by dancing or singing or what have you. The show doesnt choose who to embarass whether it be old folks, pregnant, disabled people, all of them. My beef is, if you really want to help people, just let them play the game and give the damn money. STOP HUMILIATING YOUR CONTESTANTS.
… and is there really a reason to shout all throughout your show? I mean Willie’s voice is so irritating, parang ginugupit na yero, same goes with that high-pitched girl, Janelle?

I watch eat bulaga every day. favorite ko kayong dalawa ni Pia bagay na bagay kayo. eat bulaga is no.1 palabas dito sa california..I want to see you and pia in person. sana makapasok ako dahil galing pa ako u.s.a. see you soon this coming month of February.

ang family ko nasa bicol, dito ang work ko sa manila. every week end ay umuuwi ako. ang tanong ko ay…BAKIT WALANG CHANNEL 7 SA DAET? pag nanonood kami ng tv pag sabado ng tanghali, maski asar na kami ay no choice dahil wowowee lang palabas. PLEASE, PAKIAYOS NYO NAMAN SIGNAL NYO SA BICOL, PARTIKULAR NA SA DAET. thank u and more power.

nag eenjoy po talaga ako kpag nanonood ako ng EAT BULAGA!!! Khit nung nasa Pilipinas pa ako Eat Bulaga na talaga ako…. Pati anak ko nakikisayaw sa Sex Bomb at EB Babes… Magaling ang mga hosts, di nakakaboring. Everyday akong nanonood ng Eat Bulaga dito sa Jeddah… Kahit na ano pang mangyari SOLID EAT BULAGA ako!!!!!
