Danyl Johnson (and not Daniel Johnston as a lot of people mistakenly heard of), gave one of the best first audition ever.
“I have been doing this for eight or nine years. Danyl, that was single-handedly the best first audition I have ever heard,” said Cowell. I guess Simon could be right. The guy is really a performer. He does not just stay in the middle and sang a song, he “performed” the song.

At first Danyl Johnson looks like a typical contestant who is about to sing in an audition but then somewhere along his song, he started to get the hang of it, started to get comfortable and just made a nice performance going around the stage, lots of body actions, and the works.

Getting standing ovation specially from Simon Cowell is very rare, and this time, Danyl Johnson got it.
