Congratulations to Juday and Cesar

Judy Ann Santos, star of the movie “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” emerged as the Best Actress at the 32nd Metro Manila Film Festival awards night last Friday. Cesar Montano won as Best Actor for his role in “Ligalig”.

It was not a surprise after all since many predicted that the two would bag the best actress and best actor awards.

Gina Pareño, Juday’s co-star, won as� Best Supporting Actress while versatile actor Johnny Delgado went home with the Best Supporting Actor award for his remarkable role in “Ligalig”.

Jose Javier Reyes, who directed Juday and Ryan in their first hit movie together, was hailed as Best Director for the second straight year. He received the same award last year for the movie Kutob.�

”Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” was given the Most Gender Sensitive Film award as well as the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.

Juday’s movie also won the Best Movie Theme Song for “Hawak Kamay” by Pinoy Dream Academy Grand Champion Yeng Constantino and second place trophy for Best Float.

Star Cinema’s “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo” also bagged the second best picture award.

The third best picture award went to Regal Films’ Shake, Rattle & Roll while the Best Picture award was given to “Enteng Kabisote 3: The Legend Goes On and On”.
