US Airforce and some more safety officials were thrilled suspecting that a there was a 6-year old boy in hot air balloon. Surprised, they found the boy just hiding in an attic, a cardboard box in it. This was too late though as the panic was all over the media thinking that the boy was aboard the helium balloon that flew 50 miles while on live telecast for two hours.
The balloon boy, Falcon Heene caught international attention and brought rescue teams out such as military helicopters. Richard Heene, Falcon’s dad, said that they never thought that the boy was just in the attic. After the incident, many think that it was a publicity stunt.
“That’s horrible after the crap we just went through. No,” defends Richard Heene.
The family will guest in Larry King Live this week. Before that interview, they were already interviewed in CNN and here’s the video.
