The Philippine Movie Press Club or better known as the PMPC Star awards has already presented their list of nominees for this coming 2008 Star awards for television.
There was a lot of celebration, sighs and hurt whispers after knowing the outcome of the said nomination. Receiving two acting nominations is Ms. Angel Locsin, while many were wondering why Marian Rivera did not get a single nomination from PMPC.
Among her nominations was the Best Single Performance by an actress for her Maalaala Mo Kaya appearance for the episode “Pilat.” Among her contenders were veteran actresses like Helen Gamboa for her starring role in “Mesa,” Susan Roces for “Basura,” Gloria Romero for “Singsing,” and Shaina Magdayao for “Telebisyon.”
Angel’s second nomination is for the Best Drama Actress category. She is nominated for her starring role in “Lobo.” Though Marian was recognized by the said award giving body in 2006 as Best New Female TV Personality, she was snubbed this year.

ur funny….angel was nominated in a biggest and popular award show while Marian win in a local award shows. parang gma lng nagbibigay mga awards nya ah. marami nga syang award pero hindi nman sya na nonominated sa popular na award show. Natalo pa sya ky Anne for best actress ngaung 2009. cno sinasabi mong magaling magact? Angel is better than her everyone knows that.
alam nyo both of them are beautiful, but then again since they are both ACTRESS, so, ibabasi ko yung vote q based from their profsion which is ang pag act. so, we cant deny the fact the mas magaling talaga si angel pagdating sa acting.. take note, angel has been nominatted sa EMMY. which is a big deal for me kasi bihira marecognize ung mga filipina actresses natin dito sa pinas.and by that Angel has already proven her talent as a real Actress..
i dont hate marian is just that mas nakikita ko yung galing ni angel kaysa ky marian pagdating sa pag.acting.
another thing pa pala. sa beauty nilang dalawa. sa beauty ni marian, maganda tlaga xa while angel maganda rin pro since pinoy naman ako ill go for ANgel kasi she present the real beauty of a real filipina. kasi si marian gumanda xa kasi may dugong banyaga while angel purong pinoy tlaga.
