The movie “A Very Special Love” was a truly a success. So what’s next after a successful movie, a sequel of course and this is what’s keeping Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina and her staff busy at this time.
“I am working with the same team but with a new writer on board. I think she will provide the new insights, the freshness. Most of my staff are really intact so feeling ko mas madali sa amin lahat and even yung story development. We are in one with the vision. We are one with what we want. Right now, inaayos pa namin, mas pinagaganda yung storya kasi nga as I have mentioned in other interviews, the pressure is so much. Kasi ang hinihiling lagi, either tapatan or malampasan. It’s a tall order for the team. Para lang ‘wag kaming ma-tension at baka hindi maging maganda yung output namin, mas inilalagay na lang namin yung movie na parang isang bagong pelikula. So whether napanuod mo yung part one or hindi, maiintindihan mo pa rin or sasakyan mo pa rin yung love story nila,” shares Direk Cathy.
They are confident that they will be able to release the movie on February of next year and will definitely not contradict with Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion’s movie for Valentine’s Day. Cathy and her team hopes that they can still squeeze out the natural “kilig chemistry” of John and Sarah. This was proved when John surprised Sarah during her concert in Araneta. Fans were screaming with glee so they know it’s a good sign to start the sequel even just after six months. “Sabi ko, bumalik yung lakas ng loob na ituloy ang part two because I think they still love Miggy and Laida,” Cathy admitted excitedly.
